Leighton are delighted to announce that the company has been awarded the ISO 27001 accreditation in Information Security by the British Standards Institute.
The accreditation follows a set of standards which helps businesses to keep their information assets secure. Throughout the process, the business has been evaluated on a range of controls that form a code of practice, covering everything from risk assessments, to asset management and access control.
We’d like to make a special thank you to AWT Business Solutions who supported us throughout the process. As a business they offer services ranging from initial gap analysis through to full implementation and audit support.
Leighton’s CEO, Lyle McCalmont added “We’re delighted to receive this accreditation. It is a great opportunity for Leighton to showcase how serious we are about the security of our data. We couldn’t have done it without our fantastic staff, who worked so hard to expand their information security knowledge and comply with policies and procedures.”
The compliance with ISO 27001 enables businesses to ensure new and existing clients that their data would be secure throughout the company. The accreditation is a company wide initiative, making sure that all staff are aware of multiple policies and procedures. Gaining this accreditation means that Leighton have valuable and visible proof of our willingness to meet accepted data security standards, and prioritise the safe use and security of data at all times.
